Membership in Craft Alliance is open to all craft organizations, craft councils and guilds, craft media organizations, government funding representatives and other interested craft related industry, educational or government organizations who express an interest in supporting or pursuing the purposes of Craft Alliance based on our membership categories.
Craft Alliance ~ Alliance métiers d'art has four membership categories:
A General Member is any organization that subscribes to the objectives of the Association on an active basis. A General Member is any of the four Atlantic provincial crafts councils and all other craft related guilds, craft media organizations or craft industry or educational institutions based in Atlantic Canada. General Members are entitled to vote and hold office in the Association.
An Associate Member is one who subscribes to the objectives of the Association on an active basis. An Associate Member is a member who is Ex-officio and representing a provincial government from any or all of the four Atlantic Provinces, appointed by their respective government department(s) or crown agencies responsible for the craft sector and whose department is providing financial assistance to the Association. Associate Members are non-voting.
A Craft Industry Member is one who subscribes to the objectives of the Association on a limited basis. A Craft Industry Member can be an individual, group, institution or government department who subscribes to the objectives of this Association. A Craft Industry Member is non-voting and may not hold office.
An Honorary Member is one whom the Association deems worthy of such recognition and whose name has been approved by the majority vote of the Board, and who has been accepted as such by a majority of the members present at any regular meeting of the Association.
